@AFLMaverick @neil_saints Caminiti is viewed as a forward, Howard's body won't hold up much longer, and Aleer is still unproven and weak in the contest. Silvagni is a proven key defender who can match up on big forwards, and provides versatility too. Also don't have to part with picks as he's a free agent
@alkaiuf_ Not sure who I'd prefer. Feel like Flanders offers more versatility, and can plug a hole at half-back to replace Sincs. CMac is more of a WIP, but high ceiling - can he play the same outside roles? Glad we're being aggressive for both players though, exciting times!
@StKFootball Personally I think TDK sets a long-term succession plan into play.
For the next few years, TDK #1 ruck, Roma #2 ruck/fwd. After Ro retires, Dodson takes over as #2 ruck. Eventually swaps places with TDK as he matures. As for Heath, will be a good backup/fwd option or trade bait.
@unpluggered Keeler much higher ceiling and x-factor, more versatile too thanks to athleticism.
Heath's good too, but more likely a backup for the future. Keeler's physicality and ruck craft will catch up in a couple pre-seasons.
@alkaiuf_@_buckets12_ Agree, you want a 190cm+ clearance winner, but you still want good two-way running and ball use like Bont. Greeves is too slow and not a good enough kick.
@bjthe92nd@alkaiuf_ Henry had no preseason - cartilage is a nasty injury. He'll be better next year. As for Dow, also had no preseason, and would be playing ahead of Jones if he was fully fit.
@alkaiuf_ It's genuinely heart-breaking, I love King and just want to see him at his best. Just praying he gets on top of the knee and he actually goes on to have a good career, I'm trying not to dread about him not :(
@Lukethow Iβm not giving up on him yet. More worried about him medically retiring if his knee cartilage is buggered. Playing in an absolute rabble of a VFL side where our smalls can barely get a look. More about getting his full fitness back this year imo.
