@kannbwx 41% is highly optimistic…its been unbelievable here, our sunflowers even have heat necrosis.
I haven’t seen one cornfield yet which I would rate good. Just glad I decided to skip corn for this year
@sizov_andre@agturbobrazil We are between Toulouse and Bordeaux, Will finish wheat today . It’s weighing 80kg. But overall between 1.5 and 2 tonnes less yield. Luckily I didn’t seed corn and i can irrigate some of the sunflower fields. They are starting to flower…..
@WATCHER_GRAINS Agri mer will have to adjust. We are in the Sw of France and luckily our wheat is already in the dough stage so losses yes but hopefully limited . But the north of the country in milk stage is looking at over 2 percent per day losses….. so it will probably cost 15 to 20% yield
@AdamCSteinert@JohnDeere John Deere is the most stubborn companythere is. Cat had solved that problem decades ago. Same story with multifunctional levers…. They talk about it like it’s a new invention
🥶 A severe cold snap has frozen rivers in Santa Cruz, Argentine Patagonia, with temperatures plunging to -25°C. This is Argentina's coldest winter since 1907. The Argentine Army captured striking images of the freeze, shared by journalist Leandro Vesco from La Nación.
@Kenya_Agron The reason for planting sorghum, is that because it performs better in drought than corn? Or rather a better market for that?
Here in France it's considered to be hard on the soil not to be followed with wheat... Rather sunflowers so soil recovers in between
Emmerdant..
@Lengetia_farm El Nino.. If we are affected by this... Did the opposite to us, 700mm since mid October up here in the SW France . Unable to seed the wheat...
A good 2024!
@nypost According to my calculation it's 364%....but maybe I make a mistake...
The other problem is that the inflation only happened in the wholesale and processing.. But not in foodproduction...
@ACOMRB Yes... Have seeded 5% of the wheat and doesn't look like we will be able to seed the rest.. Still 50ha of corn out, flooded by a river.
Between Toulouse and Bordeaux
