The volume of a classroom should never be an indicator of the quality of the teacher. Loud ones are not necessarily managed poorly and quiet ones definitely don’t indicate learning is happening.
One of the first steps in connecting with a challenging student… is to LIKE them, rather than “put up” with them. It’s amazing how the attitude of the adult can affect the attitude of the kid.
