@BillBillBill06@Keir_Starmer Where are these cycle paths of which you speak?
If it is true that £4.5B has been spent on them I would expect to see a few, or at least some fresh paint.
I will do some research to see if this is BS or not!
@AdrianRamsay ... Or maybe not merge Norfolk & Suffolk? What are the chances of that. We all know that the merger will, as usual, lead to less rural services and more "urban" funding decisions...
@aswren@ClareCraigPath Showing a graph like this is pure trolling.
China are digging up coal and burning it.
Regardless of the debate on CO2 (I believe that is a bad metric) fossil fuels are finite.
Even "renewables" are to an extent as you have to build the infrastructure.
It is about money, true.
My being a Parliamentarian (and therefore trustworthy??) had no impact at all.
They eventually let us in and sent some poor unwitting civil servant to accept the letter ...
@Vivek4real_ To be fair the lady in the video isn't the problem, she is explaining that to protect nature you need to account for it.
The problem is the current lot of governments and business leaders do not understand the language, they only understand money - for themselves.
@RanTeeThree@ClareCraigPath Politics in this country is manipulated by UHNWIs and corporations. Even the rise in employer NI contributions benefited them as it gave them an excuse to not employ staff in this country. More the horrible rates of unemployment especially with young adults.
We need a full reset.
@ABridgen What is shocking is the fake virtue signalling to justify what is clearly a cheap commercial decision. Shame on Sainsbury's and their stores! 🐓

We call on the Government to stop the fortification of flour with synthetic folic acid. Folic acid is a medicine not a food. We believe it is unethical to mass medicate the entire population without their knowledge or consent in the hope that a minority group of people might see a benefit.

@thecoastguy Hmm. It didn't vanish.
The powers that be still bang on about the climate crisis while getting the data centres built.
It's the usual gaslighting charade. No wonder there is also a mental health "crisis".
$518M for half a year.
That is the equivalent of the ENTIRE HEALTH BUDGET for the DRC governemnt for a WHOLE year.
$2.8M per day.
What is it being spent on?
@ABridgen Reversing this one action would be beneficial to humanity.
I suspect one reason the pharmaceutical corporations argued for protection is that how an injection is given can drastically affect outcomes. However, that is no excuse as the result has been more bad products.
‘Looking at the totality of up-to-date evidence, and what you’ve heard from eminent witnesses today, in my view, millions of Americans and millions more across the world may be in clear and present danger of suffering premature cardiovascular disease and cancer.
Without allowing all scientists to debate this openly without fear of censure, we will not be able to identify who is most at risk and how these risks can be mitigated.
When it comes to making money, multi-national corporations have been diagnosed by Forensic psychologist Robert Hare and Law Professor Joel Bakan as legal entities that fulfil the criteria for Psychopathy. Characteristics include callous unconcern for the safety of others, incapacity to experience guilt, repeated lying, and conning others for profit. The evidence presented here today exposes the corporate tyranny underlying public health practice.
This profitability over people rooted in the neo-liberal economic model has led to trust being at an all-time low in the medical profession.
A full public apology from government bodies and medical leadership to the vaccine injured and bereaved is an essential first step in restoring that trust.
Tyranny emerges when people are afraid to say what they think. When you have something to say, silence is a lie. When everyone lies all the time, the tyranny is complete.
To save the health of the American people and to save democracy, it is our responsibility to expose, resist and dismantle the era of corporate tyranny we currently find ourselves in’
@thecoastguy Amongst the worst aspects of these data-centres is that they are classed as critical infrastructure. So, if there are energy shortages, they will switch off domestic power in preference to these.
Yet, bill payers fund the infrastructure!
@Beck_Sall@ClareCraigPath So, according to this Gatwick etc should be shutting down in 3 years.
Of course some of the directives on this graphic will happen, but the simple fact is they aren't winding up regional airports in the UK. If this were the case stock prices for airlines would have tanked.
