One minute I’m almost puking after a CrossFit workout next to my friend Ignacio, the next we’re praying together! And he’s getting baptized Sunday! GAINZ SZN BB!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
The Bible says to pray about everything and without ceasing, not to task you with another religious chore, but to bring God’s power into every part of your life without end.
One of the best things about preaching is the reminder of God’s help and faithfulness.
I feel drained today. But I am confident that God will empower me to present His word to our church family tomorrow.
“God speaks when you read the Bible. If you don’t know God, it’s probably because you don’t read the Bible. The Bible is a good way to hangout with God and know Him better.”
- Elliott, my 5yo daughter
“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said: ‘Streams of living water will flow from within him.’”
John 7:37-38
I am reminded this morning about the incredible privilege we have as Christians. That comfort, joy, peace, wisdom, and so many other blessings of Heaven are immediately available to us through the Holy Spirit.
I’m a pastor because God helped me to experience peace in a miraculous way.
I knew He wanted me to commit my life to helping others experience it too.
But man, to minister to those who really need it is brutal. I’m so thankful for the energy of Christ as we strenuously contend.
PRAYER REQUEST:
I am preaching Judges 4 (Deborah) tomorrow!
I have multiple friends coming who are not yet Christians.
Please pray that I would preach in the Spirit’s power and that my friends (and others) would be responsive to the gospel!
