@Jau__CR The black people you understand are American tho. The Black Americans are fighting with everyone to retain their language. The issue isn’t the U.S. thinking they’re the center of the universe the issue is the world stealing from Black people and invalidating their experiences.
@Anarcommieyaoi@memysel24914821 Using y’all is not racist. The issue is the fact that people use AAVE incorrectly and when Black Americans call them out on it they blame American media and say that nonnative speakers aren’t to blame for their ignorance and invalidating Black Americans’ grievances.
@nichvydycia@vvestoxx Black Americans argue with White Americans and every other group of people daily about AAVE usage. The issue is nobody give a fuck about Black Americans or respect their identities. Stop playing the victim and educate yourself.
@darkittybbh@sk8brdPwool Obviously American media is prevalent but people still choose what words they use. There are post in languages I don’t speak and make the choice to scroll. If you can’t use AAVE correctly or attempt to learn the dialect then stop using it. No one is forcing you to use AAVE.
@lRf4Xf0mbpQb6zq@grls4megtwice If you’re learning a language why would you not research what you’re saying to actually understand what you’re communicating ? I wouldn’t get on the internet and speak Mandarin without attempting to understand what I was saying.
@1BrokeAzzNig@BDTRELILBROTHER You’re just a fucking idiot. If the kid wants to wear a wig so what? It’s hair ! People with kids have stupid tattoos all the time so what’s the difference?
