Trying to look on the positive but it’s hard. I can only continue laying the foundation for my kids to be the change, while offering ZERO quarter to anyone enabling this
I’m angry, but oddly it’s a cold anger this time.
I want to make something good and beautiful in this cruel and stupid world. I want to plant a tree or bake a loaf of bread — not out of cheerful optimism or even hope, but as a defiant middle finger to all this darkness.
There IS a left, and if you don’t want *this* then we are gonna have to sprint there. It’s where wages, it’s where affordable living, it’s where basic needs live.
Trying to capture “the center” is capitulating to the right. There is no center. Leftist ideals down the ballots won resoundingly, and it’s time to understand that being FOR workers, being FOR real people is politically viable and “the left” is a boogeyman term from the right.
@PrevailandRide It won’t flip the rest of the state but I’ve been saying those Indianapolis north suburbs of Carmel and Westfield is how turning Indiana slight purple starts.
Very early in Kentucky but Amendment 2 (GOP-backed measure to give public $ to private schools) is running 30 points behind Trump. https://t.co/q1dB0pHbUK
I said this last week. Hamilton County is extremely affluent and suburban. Dems have been making up ground but to see Jennifer McCormick as close as she is, and Kamala Harris possibly flipping that county blue, it shows that Indiana isn’t a lost cause going forward.
