@UpperDeckHockey @UpperDeckAssist@PeteIncaviglia Understandable. But. Why a Vegas Gold Pens jersey that was not the Penguins current jersey? Pens stopped wearing the Vegas Gold at the end of 15-16. Marino became a Penguin on July 26, 2019. Why would he have ever been wearing an out of date jersey for a photo shoot?
Curious. John Marino was not with the Pens organization when they wore the jerseys that this patch comes from. He was acquired prior to 19-20 season via trade. He would not have ever worn at event/photo shoot or game.
Any help @UpperDeckAssist @UpperDeckHockey @PeteIncaviglia?
@therealdfg@UpperDeckAssist @UpperDeckHockey @PeteIncaviglia Totally see your point. But why, dammit why! Haha
Just a wee bit more attention to detail by UD with the player etc. Event worn vs game worn isnโt my issue, just use the Pittsburgh gold jersey because this is not a jersey from his era in his RPAs.
@thehhockeyhouse @pisano64@OTB_Cards@UpperDeckAssist @UpperDeckHockey @PeteIncaviglia Ok, but thatโs not my question. This would be like saying, hey, weโve got a blank 08 baby blue Winter Classic Pens jersey here, throw it on so we can use it for your cards. Shouldnโt it at least be a jersey from his era with the team?
@creasecollector@UpperDeckAssist @UpperDeckHockey @PeteIncaviglia Right. But why would they use anything of him that wasnโt in current use by the team heโs with. Remember he wasnโt drafted by Pitt. His only time in Pitt is 19-20 when they wore the jerseys pictured in the photo on the card. Iโm just saying, why?
@card_boarded@UpperDeckAssist @UpperDeckHockey @PeteIncaviglia Agree. And thatโs a sidebar pet peeve of mine from this specific โissueโ that I think @UpperDeckHockey has done a better job of recently.
@thehhockeyhouse @pisano64@OTB_Cards@UpperDeckAssist @UpperDeckHockey @PeteIncaviglia An acceptable answer for sure. If thatโs what they come back with, then we have our answer to the โwhy?โ here, which is all I wanted to know.
