Different victims.
Different shooters.
Different states.
Different reasons.

Same outcome: An epidemic of "accidental" shootings has erupted, because our society has devolved to the point where the answer to any and all uncertainty is to start shooting. Three young people have been shot in the past week because they chose the wrong door, driveway, and car.

- Ralph Yarl, 16 years old, was attempting to pick up his twin brothers and ended up at the wrong address in Kansas City, Missouri. After ringing the doorbell, he was shot by Andrew Lester, 84, in the head through the door. Lester then opened the door and shot him again while he was on the floor. He has been released from the hospital.

- Kaylin Gillis, 20, was shot dead after her friend pulled into the wrong driveway in upstate New York, and Kevin Monahan, 65, started blasting before words had even been exchanged and nobody left the vehicle. She was shot as the car was leaving, and died before reaching a hospital.

- Payton Washington, an 18-year-old cheerleader, was shot after she and her friend accidentally got into the wrong car in an Elgin, Texas parking lot. Pedro Tello Rodriguez, Jr. shot her and her friend multiple times, and the cheerleader is in critical condition at the hospital.

In a shoot-first, ask-questions-later society that believes more guns are the answer to everything, these incidents are bound to increase unnecessarily.

If Republicans in the TN House can expel fellow members of the opposition party simply for protesting gun violence, then surely Democrats in the US House should be able to expel members of Congress for taking part in or aiding an insurrection, right?

Just imagine the GOP outrage if Democrats tried to do just half of what Republicans actually do.

HOLY SHIT! Senate Judiciary Chair Dick Durbin is about to put the smackdown on SCOTUS Justice Clarence Thomas after revelations that he's been accepting luxury gifts from Republican donors and not disclosing them.

"Supreme Court Justices must be held to an enforceable code of conduct, just like every other federal judge. The ProPublica report is a call to action, and the Senate Judiciary Committee will act," Senator Durbin vowed.
