I’ve been facing ongoing harassment from a police officer named Ibrahim Thasneem. On one occasion, he approached me with a photo of me and said, “thee haifa dho.” When I questioned his right to take my photos, his attitude immediately changed. He claimed he knew me from Twitter and mentioned that I apparently have a politically influential brother.

He then threatened to tow my vehicle and took me to the tow yard. After I signed the tow form, he called and said he would let me leave with my vehicle if I apologized to him. I refused. Later, he came back, tore up the form, and asked me to leave.

Since then, he has continued to harass me and misuse the power given to him. This is intimidation and abuse of authority.

Is this happening because I’m a woman, or because I refuse to voice support for the current government?

Gonna tell everyone a real story, most of the Mp's, I really mean most of them thought that they would be the only blacksheep to be left out, even if they voted against it, the bill would still pass. Heard this from many of them, those who told me the night before that they wouldn't give it a go and voted after.

When I confronted later, this is what they had to say,

If you can’t afford a photographer with all those sponsors you have, stop organizing such events. This ain’t the first time you guys steal the photos of other photographers and media outlets.
