BREAKING: Border Patrol victim Marimar Martinez stuns Kristi Noem by bravely confronting her at a Senate hearing after she was shot five times — and then the Trump administration lied about it.
This is what true courage looks like...
"Marimar Martinez is with us today as well. She's standing right behind you," said Senator Richard Blumenthal as Marimar stood up in audience. "She was on her way to donate clothing at her church when she came across an unmarked car."
"The agents sideswiped her car. Three masked agents in camouflage stormed out, and one of them pulled out his gun and fired at her moving vehicle, hitting her five times. She almost bled to death," he continued.
"Wouldn't you agree that shooting Marimar Martinez on her way to donate clothing at her church, a United States citizen from Chicago, is wrong?" asked Blumenthal.
"Sir, I don't know the situation or the case," claimed a clearly uncomfortable Noem. "I'll look into it to ensure that all the procedures were followed properly."
"Oh, I'm glad you'll look into it," the senator shot back. "Marimar, by the way, was falsely charged with impeding law enforcement, but the case actually fell apart. The judge dismissed it as being trumped up. He dismissed it with prejudice."
"And in fact, the agent who shot her — I'm not going to name him — but you know who he is, was quoted on social media the day or so afterward," said Blumenthal. "And he said, 'I fired five rounds and she had seven holes. Put that in your book, boys.'"
The events unfolded just as Blumenthal described. Marimar was shot in Chicago, the government lied about what happened, and then the judge threw the sham case against Marimar out. Meanwhile, an innocent American citizen was subjected to agony, near death, and then the weaponization of our justice system against her. This sordid affair should result in mass firings.
As for Noem, she's either lying or profoundly incompetent. It's hard to say for certain, she's habitually dishonest and terrible at her job. Either she knows about the Marimar shooting and was feigning ignorance, or she really doesn't know about a high-profile shooting involving her agents. If it's the former she should be impeached, if it's the latter she should resign.
Please ❤️ and share to demand that Kristi Noem be impeached!
This lying jackass expects us to believe that Iran, surrounded by an American armada, was going to attack first, during negotiations?
Bullshit. Israel is dragging that sap around by his Adderall-filled nose.
Ironic that one of the legacies of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is a presidency that can initiate wars on whim, without even the pretense of building a case to the American people first.
Tulsi Gabbard: "An all out war with Iran would make the wars that we've seen in Iraq and Afghanistan look like a picnic. It will be far more costly in lives, American lives, and American taxpayer dollars — and all towards accomplishing what goal? What objective?" (2020)
The Iranian regime has terrorized its own people, especially the women brave enough to risk their lives for basic rights.
But a regime-change war with no goal and no plan is not a path to peace.
I remember Iraq and Afghanistan.
I remember the veterans we lost in combat and to suicide after.
I remember the debt exploding while military contractors cashed in.
Let’s not repeat it.
Congress must force a vote. The Constitution requires it. Lauren Boebert needs to be on record.
Does she support another endless war? I do not.
Trump's attacks on Iran are dangerously illegal and a mistake of staggering scale. Has he learned nothing from decades of U.S. military disaster in the Middle East? Has he spent not one single minute studying the lives lost and trillions wasted in Iraq and Afghanistan and Syria and Libya?
The American public does not want our President dragging us into another totally unnecessary conflict in a far-off land. They want him to focus on American lives — lives that are being ruined by an economy beset by flat wages, disappearing jobs, rising prices, and widespread corruption.
A military action to eliminate Iran's nuclear program was totally unnecessary. We had a diplomatic deal to do that. It was working until Trump — against the advice of all his advisors — tore it to shreds. Trump willfully precipitated this crisis.
As for Trump's stated goal of regime change, he should be very careful what he wishes for. If he fails in his goal, it hardens Iranian resolve to make trouble for the U.S. and our allies. If it succeeds, the chances are better that an even more repressive, more anti-Israel and anti-U.S. hardline government emerges out of the rubble than that a tolerant, inclusive Iranian democracy will.
The American people now see Trump for who he is — a would-be dictator who does not care what Americans think or want, cares nothing about our sacred Constitution or our laws, and sees himself as a kind of eighteenth-century king, with unlimited power to drag all of us into disastrous wars overseas without the consent of the people.
No, in America, we have no kings. One doddering, self-obsessed old man does not get to decide if we go to war. The people — through a vote of Congress — decide. That's what our Constitution says. It's clear as day. And Congress should be called back into session this afternoon to immediately begin debate on legislation that would approve or deny the President's illegal war against Iran.
I am praying for the safety of U.S. forces today. They are being led into war by a leader who is out of control. Congress must do our constitutional duty and reign him in, before it’s too late.
