@roxoah_ I hope you know that there's someone from the complete opposite side of the world who's always, always rooting for you, even if schedule and timezones keep us from hanging out ✨️ I'm always grateful for your friendship and I always think of you fondly

I feel like the recent USD to PHP conversion has really gotten me fatigued, like.
I know 1k PHP is bigger than 10 USD by a lot, but I'd rather comm someone whose comms cost 1k PHP than 10 USD (numbers simplified)
(Thank you vgen for showing me prices in my local currency)
@FilCommsArtHub I was glad to see this page! That being said, as someone from the PH, I'm often looking for information in PHP (or at least the artists' local currency, if they're abroad. What if they're not in the US?) and local payment options as well. Otherwise, this doesn't help much :'(
@lucesamaaa local expenses have already gone up by more than what the increase is, so your purchasing power has actually gone down even though you're making "more" pesos
@no_more_ren I feel like the key thing is that the topic of the contest should not have any benefit to you, the contest holder, and you shouldn't get to own the artwork either (?)
like, instead of "draw my OC" contest, it could be a "here is a pose reference, draw your own OC" contest, etc?
@merururuu Yeap, pretty common. Off the top of my head I can think of 4 artists who've ghosted me (over $400 in comms for just those guys, paid in full), and I'm a casual collector
@NoxisHades There's a Tiktoker who does this for commenters who challenge her with finding their identity. Most of the posters are people without any posts and barely any info, but she's able to find their full names, birthdays, and family, all with just public info.
