@MediumSizeMeech The majority of fashion works that way, the clothes that people buy in stores are watered down from what designers show on a runway. It’s how fashion cycles exist. Just because an outfit isn’t a carbon copy of the original doesn’t mean that wasn’t the inspiration.
@babyonaplane It is though, and a lot of her outfits are definitely inspired by Courtney. The difference is that she doesn’t have the juxtaposition that Courtney did because she’s not gritty. The basics of the look are the same, babydoll dress, knee high socks and maryjanes.
Clothing and textiles are two of the things that make us uniquely human. When you really sit with that and contemplate all the different ways we’ve expressed our humanity through dress over scores of millennia…how could you not be endlessly fascinated?
@merry123459 I’m 40 and we are extremely lucky to have been in an apartment for years with considerably below market rent, my partner makes very good money and we can’t leave this apartment because we can’t afford another apartment here, let alone buy a house lol. It’s not entitlement.
Love Asian cuisines, but they absolutely are the worst to cook at home. You have to buy 44 ingredients to make one dish and it’s not something you’ll want to have more than once a week. Extremely time intensive and best left to the experts. I took a Vietnamese cooking class once and the ingredient list to make it at home looked like a scroll.
