EKEDC IN DESPERATION
_____
I installed an 18kW solar power system at my property in Lekki Phase 1, relegating EKEDC supply to a backup status. Since then, I have been having more frequent visits from personnel of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), coming to check my prepaid meter.

On one of those visits, the EKEDC team stood watching the meter for motion to indicate consumption. When the meter wasn't moving, they called me to say they suspected I had bypassed the meter. I told them I had enough solar power for my daytime needs and only used their supply as a backup for the dark hours. To prove this to them, I switched on my inverter bypass for about 2 minutes so my consumption would be from EKEDC. They saw the meter rotating normally. They were visibly upset and one of them mumbled something like "This ọ̀gá no wan gree us chop". They left.

Today (19-Oct-2026), three of them came to my premises with a notice of disconnection. The last time I loaded an EKEDC token was in July 2026 and I still had ample units left. When I asked why they would disconnect me, they said the reason was "LOR" (Loss of Revenue). They said my slow consumption indicates a faulty meter and I had to pay them ₦112,606 for loss of revenue.

I told them my meter was not faulty and that they could test it if they wanted. The lady said they were losing revenue and they had to make up for it.

I didn't know whether to laugh or to be angry. I have no intention of paying EKEDC a dime for its loss of revenue due to my taking steps to protect my interest.

But, I share this story for all who are investing in solar power to know that the DisCos are now desperate. They now have "Loss of Revenue" as a reason for your disconnection from their supply. It is simply that they are not making enough money from you.

I am waiting for EKEDC to disconnect me from their grid before I lodge a formal complaint to the regulatory authority.

We are in interesting times in Nigeria!

Chinese traders displace locals in Nigerian retail space, locals burst into upheaval and uproar, and news media reports "Nigerians Protest Against Chinese Presence"

But is that what is really happening here, or something else entirely?

This Haaretz report is a bombshell. To Americans who aren’t familiar with their work, Haaretz has similar respect in Israel as the New York Times. And it alleges Netanyahu was warned by none other than the PRESIDENT of the UAE that an attack from Hamas was coming ahead of Oct. 7th.

Netanyahu says the conversation never happened and is suing for libel. But there’s a problem: even moderate newspapers have confirmed the call took place.

So what really happened in the days before Oct. 7th? More on this episode of John Kiriakou’s Briefing Room: https://t.co/kMV2lPIOSs

In reality, South Africa’s high HIV-positive rate was spread by a vaccine to depopulate the Black population and give White people dominance. I have posted the video here several times. We are still not ready to learn how the world sees and treats us, we just embrace everything.

What You Must Know When The U.S Offers Help.

U.S. "foreign aid" to Africa is often cited as proof that Americans foreign policy towards the Global South is somehow benevolent. The security partnerships, healthcare funding, and budgetary support regularly extended toward African countries are often successfully marketed to African audiences as charity efforts meant to make the world a better place.

In this analysis piece, @Big_Mck forensically deconstructs the myth of U.S. "foreign aid" using 3 recent examples to highlight how these arrangements are not in the slightest bit charitable, and can actually be seen as imperial shakedowns characterised by extremely unequal exchange of value, and enforced by the weight of the global U.S. extortion racket.

There is a reason Western governments will accept almost any accusation except one.

Call them violent. They will absorb it. Violence, attached to strength and necessity and the hard logic of geopolitics, can be managed. It can be framed. It can be given narrative logic. It can be made to feel like the difficult decision of a serious people living in a complicated world.

Call them genocidal and something different happens.

Because genocide has a specific meaning in international law. Because genocide implies intent. Because genocide removes the escape hatch of accident, miscalculation, and tragic necessity.

Genocide says: you knew what you were doing. You did it anyway. And you did it to people specifically because of who they were.

Watch how fast the language changes when that word appears.

Watch how quickly the scholars are mobilized, the historians consulted, the definitions debated.

The debate about the definition is the defense.

Keep them arguing about the word and they never have to answer for the act.
