If the table was to turn and it was the man that got a 4,000 pounds paycheck, he would have brought the money home and used it for the overall well being of the family. Now the wife got a huge paycheck and the next best thing she thinks should be done is to divorce her husband.
Most women are self centered and cannot help you build shit.
When this rule of a man being the sole provider was written, women generally were home builders and were at large not in the workforce so they do not make money but the status quo has changed in today's workforce. Women because of their non involvement in the workforce were exempted from paying taxes to the government just 50-100 years ago but today women also pay taxes to the government because they are now in the workforce and can also climb the corporate ladder as high as men do. Why then do they pay taxes to the government but when it comes to using their money for the benefit of the family they claim to be a part of it becomes a problem?
Money is just a tool which if properly deployed, can help bring both the husband, wife and their children out of poverty so why wont you want to jointly build a life together with your husband with the resources that come your way? If both spouses are working they should join forces and build a sustainable system for the family they claim to be building because things have changed. Most jobs especially in Nigeria do not pay enough salary for only one person to carry 100% financial responsibility of the family while the other person (wife) keeps her money and uses it to do capital investment for herself. And when anything happens with the marriage, the man is left with zero savings and no assets. He would have to start from scratch while the woman on the other hand would have acquired numerous assets in her name over time simply because she only used her earnings for herself.

True, having a good wife is very important but no matter how good your wife is, if the man is not disciplined enough to lead properly then his wife will not have a protocol to follow. The children of a man must fear the consequences of misbehavior. Their mother most be able to say things like: if you try this so and so again, i will report you to your father. That statement alone will go a long way to uphold the moral standard set by the man which must be enforced whether his is present or absent. This can however only work when the man is disciplined enough to set those boundaries.
Them no born you well go clubbing and even have the audacity to come back home with a girl at 2:00am in my house. You could only do that when you are on campus if you want but you can not try that at home.

Pliny the younger lived around 79AD that was several centuries after the time Jesus existed, he only recorded what he saw people doing and that cannot be used as a justification for the Godship of jesus. People have always worshipped their heroes as deities through out human civilization and that does not mean that those people who are being deitified are true gods. Jesus is not God neither is he the Son of God. Jesus was sent as messenger of God to the people of Israel same way all other prophets were sent to guide their people throughout human civilization. If people decide to worship the messenger of God then that is entirely their own problem. The only issue here is that we may not live long enough to witness the second coming of Jesus son of Mary but those people who will witness it will learn the truth then.
