sadly, my journey with caldera and @caldera_ng officially ends here.

it’s been a wild and long story.

started as a core community contributor (volunteer) to being a regional lead for Nigeria. I’m in charge of @caldera_ng since the start. worked alongside @tgogayi and @ZkShedy.

learnt a big lesson here. a really big one.

today was a peak of it all. caldera never paid their mods (even though it was promised). mod got 600 ERA at tge.

I wasn’t a mod ( I’m a regional lead) - I moved on a long while but I expected mod to be outspoken about this.

the team shut them up and brought new mods recently.

this are few playbooks that have been going on with certain teams and their contributors.

in 2023/2024 - caldera announced their plan of choosing core contributors to be the face of caldera. me, alongside others, dedicated our time and effort to caldera (volunteered precisely). you all know this effort if you have been following me for a longtime.

early when the team brought the initiatives of regional leaders, we were chosen since we are core contributors already. there are lots of regionals.

fast forward to this year, (most especially towards tge). the team reduces communications, no detail about future plans, post tge events and more.

despite my efforts with caldera. I was rewarded 600 ERA as a regional lead. (I never received payment for once) it was promised before the start of the program.

lucky, thanks to kaito - i got eligible for good amount of tokens as other yappers.

yeah … I didn’t make much as some of you previously thought.

both the core team and minor team who we usually have good relationships, ghost us just after TGE.

as you can see - since June (caldera TGE). there hasn’t been a single post from @caldera_ng.

I believe they might discontinue the initiatives or probably find another leech.

there’s a good reason i didn’t voice out after tge. i hope someone learned from this.
