@ruthowen22 @lewizrs Yes, but the mark scheme stipulates that different tenses count as complexity for this question, so, remembering this is for students that struggle to conjugate, it makes sense to focus on the tenses: as you can definitely get full marks just by getting the three tenses correct

@ruthowen22 @lewizrs With the 90 students can get full marks just by writing clearly in the 3 time frames (addressing the bullet points of course!) with a variety of adjectives and opinions.

@ruthowen22 @lewizrs They can get 6 marks by just doing the three tenses and some variety of adjectives etc, but if they DON’T manage the time frames they can’t access the top band of marks. So, for students who are struggling, we should try to reduce cognitive load.

@ruthowen22 @lewizrs Hi Ruth, it does indeed mention complex structures in the 6 marks, but there are no extra marks available, so if a student is struggling to conjugate we should focus them on the time frames as they lose marks if they can’t get these.

I would pare it down a little. There are no extra marks in the 90 words for complex phrases (suelo + inf & me hace feliz) It’s just about the tenses and communication. Hope that helps.
