I visited Korea around 2003 and met my cousin’s friends (pre-teens). Those kids studied English and asked how to say certain slang and phrases, followed by their near perfect performance the Friends theme song.

What I’m learning from replies to this thread is many Americans genuinely don’t realize what a cultural juggernaut Friends was in many parts of the world. I know Seinfeld had more viewers in the US, but globally it’s not even close in terms of impact across culture/language
