Admiral Nurse for Dudley👌. Devoted momma to 2 nursing daughters & 2 naughty cats. 💗hubby💙. I legally own every opinion I make. Family 1st, 2nd & 3rd. 🤗
@GreggsUk Well done Greggs for cost cutting and changing the lids to your hot drinks, to a flexible & flimsy plastic. Not only has the store assistant scolded herself but my hubby has burnt himself twice with the lid coming off when you even hold the thin cup. Dangerous
HOLY SHIT and I don't say that very often...
At the behest of the water industry the Department for Works and Pensions has deducted £22.4 MILLION from people's Universal Credit payments simply to pay arrears to water companies.
The arrogance and greed of these companies knows no bounds exploiting the most vulnerable in society and who the hell in DWP authorised this nonsense?
https://t.co/HxVToqA903
You'll want to be sitting down for this bit.
Water companies are currently £82.7 billion in debt, have paid themselves £85 billion in dividends, leak over a trillion of litres of water per year, dump sewage for almost 4 million hours per year, have been convicted of over 1,200 criminal acts since 1989 and an average of 35% of your bill goes on nothing but paying more interest and yet more dividends.
And not a single company has ever lost their operating licence. 👇
#Trump at #Davos26: "We never asked for anything, we never got anything"
Such an incredible and painful insult to the European NATO dead and their families. Men and women gave their lives in #Afghanistan when European NATO activated Article 5 on behalf of the #USA.
Quote: 'Did you know when I was 16, the government made an agreement with me, that if I paid National Insurance every week, they would give me a pension when I was 60
I kept my end of the deal and am still paying in!!
On the 5th and 6th of June, the UK Government may be made to give back the right to retire at 60 to all those women who worked and paid their National Insurance.
Currently their pension payout is delayed until 66 or 67 depending on date of birth.
We all know that the pension age for women born in the sixties has been raised. Did you know a campaign called ‘Back to 60 Movement’ has won the right to a Judicial Review and is taking the DWP to the High Court? On the 5th and 6th June they will attempt to get women justice over non consultation in raising the pensionable age to 66 and above.
Michael Mansfield QC will lead the case and the argument for the movement. However, there does not appear to be any media coverage regarding this significant event. That is why we’re raising the awareness now. Let's hope for justice rightly deserved.
There appears to be a media blackout on this issue, which suggests that the government have put a block on the media reporting it. So let’s use social media for what it’s good at - share the hell out of this. Come on ladies - this is worth a great deal to you!'

Wes Streeting blaming doctors for the chaos from rising flu cases #C4News
Wes Streeting did not offer covid or flu boosters to everyone who wanted one; this would have massively brought down cases
Wes Streeting did not care enough to ensure clean indoor air in schools, workplaces, hospitality; this also would massively have brought down cases
The reason the flu is overwhelming the NHS is not because of doctors, it's because Wes Streeting learnt zero lessons from the covid inquiry
But at least he's got a flag behind him in this interview
Sonia Sodha, "The state pension has gone up, but the threshold that young people have to repay their student loans has been frozen"
"Graduates in their 20s and 30s pay an extra 9% of income tax"
"There are people in their 20s that will never own their own home"
"They're going to get to retirement in the private rented sector. It's overpriced, its bad value. They won't have enough money in their pension and all of a sudden they won't have anywhere to live because they haven't bought a house and they haven't paid off their mortgage"
"Young people are facing a crisis in terms of the world they're going out into"
"My worry is the political parties are tinkering on the edges of this" #BBCQT
@ukhomeoffice My daughter trained here 2 years ago and still hasn't got a job as a mental health nurse. 2 years, no band 5 jobs and this is the same story in many many trusts across the UK. A recruitment block for newly qualified nurses. It's an absolute disgrace.
Wes isn’t reducing waiting lists
There aren’t 2500 more GPs
Who is delivering appointments in the NHS, it’s the staff, not Wes or Labour & in spite of them not because
Wes’s own constituency has some of the worse GP access
He needs to go!
It is a ridiculous situation where a first year doctor would still be paid less than a PA with full pay restoration.
Despite the huge differences in knowledge base, skill, and level of responsibility.
Resident doctors are sorely underpaid + undervalued:
@wesstreeting When will it be headline news that most trusts have a recruitment block for newly qualified staff? My daughter is 2 years qualified as an rmn and still no band 5 jobs. How the hell is she supposed to revalidate in 12 months time? I am ashamed to be a nurse in the NHS myself
@wesstreeting My daughter completed her masters in mental health nursing 18 months ago, and still can't get a job. Recruitment blocks for newly qualified band 5's up & down this country. Why isn't this headline news. She's a teaching assistant now paying 60k of debt off. Yes, it's broken
@tesco_insurance I am appalled at your pet insurance renewal for the 2nd year running. A moggy with arthritis has jumped from £806.76 a year to £1,461.60 a year + 20% of all vets bills. You have doubled the renewal every year because she is over 10. Scandalous. Pet owners beware
