One of the problems with coordinating protests on social media is how easy it is to spread misinformation and fake events. False information can be spread about the purpose, time, or location of a protest, which can cause a lot of confusion about the real protest #bcm111#WeCare
I have a following on Instagram, and I have used this many times to raise more awareness to the brutality that continues to occur in Palestine. #bcm111#WeCare
I believe that online activism is not completely participatory culture as barriers, such as opposing/ conflicting opinions and views, can stop many people from truly voicing their opinion or participating in certain youth activism topics #bcm111#WeCare
