@hoomstved @deathcxndy @bite_frog @Saraphinn i do agree with your last sentence and therefore im not saying ai art isnt art but rather you cant claim it as yours when you made another source do the actual process of art for you. writing prompts is not making art, its just making the ai make the art with a guideline

@hoomstved @deathcxndy @bite_frog @Saraphinn i wouldnt label myself as a good artist yet i still draw so ofc i understand the need for shortcuts but if youre not drawing it yourself then whats the point? if youre making something else do it for you thats not a shortcut thats just passing off the work.

@hoomstved @deathcxndy @bite_frog @Saraphinn basically ai art would just be making art just for the sake of making art. not to claim it as yours and not to make money off of it. if you want to enjoy an ai piece, okay fine whatever, but in no way did you technically draw it

@hoomstved @deathcxndy @bite_frog @Saraphinn in all of the ai that i know of, theres no option to see a realistic timelapse where theres bases and real life references. all you get is basically a coloring page. if you really want to learn art, its better to study actual techniques from real people, no?

@Saraphinn @deathcxndy @bite_frog is it really though? its just editing one sentence over and over again from words you can get from any dictionary. its not really anything special. sure it takes hours to get the "right" result but like??? youre just reentering that sentence over and over again its effortless.

@hoomstved @deathcxndy @bite_frog @Saraphinn ok but is he learning or is the machine learning like if he wants to benefit himself hes better off doing actual art instead of making ai do it for him. ai art already understands concepts from what im hearing but if you dont then whats the benefit

@deathcxndy @bite_frog @Saraphinn what theyre making is a combination of words into a prompt which the ai then turns into the art. technically, it's like getting a commission done. when you get a commission done, did you draw it or did somebody else draw it for you?
