6 months after using #Kubernetes, @adidas is now running their ecommerce site 100% on Kubernetes, cutting their load time in half and speeding their release time from 4-6 weeks to 3-4 times a day.
The impact of Kubernetes is real.
Here are a couple of companies that use K8s:
4) Be clear about productivity.
Setting clear accountability for performance by setting deadlines on projects and using analytics to assess team’s overall productivity is crucial. We benefit from using the agile framework in Taiga (vs Asana, etc.), because we host it @LyridInc.
As a #remote first company (https://t.co/hISFw70Ekm), our management team has experimented different remote team policies to maximize our team #productivity and work-life balance. Here are 4 practices we found work best for our team 🧵
3) Remote team interaction.
In Lyrid, we have daily scrum meetings for both the US and Indonesia teams where we go over project goals, expectations, challenges and progress. We recently introduced a monthly meal time, which helped our internal goal alignment.
4) Better work-life balance.
Going remote enabled us to manage our time efficiently and work around our own schedules. For example, I schedule my meetings around my children’s school/lesson time which has been crucial in achieving work-life balance.
When we founded Lyrid in 2019, remote teams were not popular but we are faced with a big decision, to lease an in-person office or to go fully remote. Here are 4 reasons why we decided to make Lyrid a remote-first company 🧵⬇️
3) Focus on productivity.
Rather than focusing on “face time”, at Lyrid, we were able to shift the focus to results by giving autonomy to our employees in managing their time by minimizing meetings to discussions and not reporting.
