@Yung_Wolfff@ApricotPopPop@RogerHallamCS21 How many panels do you have? I’ve seen new builds with like 3 or 4… seems a box ticking exercise rather than anything useful.
@cjsnowdon@K_Niemietz We can solve the climate issue and still be comfortable. But then you wouldn’t get to feel the noble self-sacrificing suffering and misery of socialism…
@cjsnowdon@K_Niemietz Capitalism has given me solar panels, a battery and air conditioning. Currently comfortable inside and exporting power to the grid. Climate activists would get much further if they embraced today’s technology and stopped listening to these fruit loops.
@ApricotPopPop@RogerHallamCS21 Not if you have solar panels, and a battery. Currently generating 2.5kw, exporting 1.8, 700W powering the house including cooling. Currently 21.5 degrees inside, with enough power stored to keep cool all night. The technology exists to be comfortable and not trash the climate.
@FursieRS6@g__j An old uninsulated leaky house is going to be even hotter when it’s this hot outside. Lack of insulation is just going to let more heat in from outside - realistically though it’s going to be roasting inside unless you live in a medieval castle with 8ft thick walls under a tree
@TomT828@BellaWallerstei Perhaps, perhaps not. It’s not inconceivable though that Simons resigned his seat without consulting Burnham, and by publicly declaring he wanted AB to have it has put AB in a situation where he can’t say no and has to go with it - in full expectation that he’ll lose to Reform.
@tomhfh Of course, if he were a Streeting supporter, handing Burnham a by-election that he then loses to Reform would probably the best gift he could give Streeting
@BellaWallerstei An alternative five;
- Fleet Air Arm museum, Yeovilton
- Submarine museum, Gosport
- Battle of Britain bunker, Uxbridge
- Portsmouth historic dockyard
- Intrepid Air and Space museum, New York
Sorry but the fact that the workers at the National Coal Mining Museum have been on strike for more than four months and might keep it going until next summer is just very funny. These guys just love strikes.
