levi telling hanji something as intimate and with as many implications as "i know you" while having THAT soft of a look on his face will forever be the death of me.
I will now think of ifkk because of this. it's a similar concept, just that hanji was writing with their voice. hanji expressed their thoughts and emotions to levi, not exactly expecting a reply from him. but he did, he listened carefully to them conveying their feelings.
i don't think the importance of this moment will ever fully sink in. levi was literally about to tell hanji not to go. because if not, then why did they ask him specifically not to stop them? they knew, if they didn't say anything, he would have tried to make them stay.
