If you are at a lot during a timeframe where there is an event in effect, you will be charged the event rate accordingly. This would be the same as the meters, even if you are not attending the event. The app does notify that prices may be higher at this time.

@mscaletta Yes the customer would have to select the amount of time and the app will quote you based on the time selected so it's not a glitch but will estimate accordingly! If there is an event/flat rate and you are within that time frame and need to extend it will say free w/in that time.
