You know what's crazy, is the dad took his daughters in there to avoid creepy men watching them and a creepy man followed him into the women's bathroom.
there’s a woman at my gym who has followed the exact same routine for months. same treadmill, same machines, same order, same time every day.
a guy tried giving her workout tips this morning and said, “you know if you switched things up you’d probably see better results.”
she just smiled and said, “i’m not chasing better results. i’m maintaining what i fought hard to keep. this body survived chemo and a marriage ending. we understand each other now.”
the entire gym got quiet after that.

It takes so much strength to choose yourself, especially when you’ve been conditioned to stay.
Do not talk about discernment if you cannot recognise when someone needs compassion more than criticism and correction. There is a time to guide and a time to simply hold space for a person who is hurting. Wisdom knows the difference. And kindness knows it even faster.
Whilst I was shopping in m&s three teens randomly came up to me and asked me if they should opt for carrot or red velvet cake, after being momentarily caught off guard, I suggested they go for the superior option, red velvet cake. I also offered to pay for the cake because they seemed like good kids.
I asked them ‘why are you getting a cake, is it one of your birthdays?’ and they responded ‘no, we’re just celebrating life’
😂 what a wholesome interaction.
