jay park is honestly such an amazing artist. imagine being this established and well-known, yet you still personally reach out to other artists and give them opportunities to perform with you on a huge stage. you rarely come across an artist with that kind of mindset.

instead of keeping the spotlight to himself, he makes his stage an open door for other artists to showcase their talent and reach a bigger audience. he doesn’t just build his own platform and own image, he uses it to create space for other people too.

and i really admire how he never forgets to promote and support his own team. he knows where he came from, remembers where his dreams started, and doesn’t forget the people who were there along the way. now that he has the platform or resources and opportunities, he makes sure to give some of that back to the people around him.

success can easily make people forget the people they started with, but he seems to understand that bringing other people up with you doesn’t take anything away from your own success. if anything, it makes the platform your dreams mean more.

and seeing him bring lngshot and other artists to perform with him in his hometown makes this even more meaningful. he could’ve kept the stage entirely for himself, but he chose to make room for the artists he believes in. that says a lot about how he sees his success and what he wants to do with the platform or the name he has built.
