Matt Damon says he and Ben Affleck sold the “Good Will Hunting” screenplay for $600K, thought they were set for life, and needed another job just a year later
Matt Damon: “When we sold Good Will Hunting, when we sold the screenplay, we thought that was absolutely it.”
“We were like broke a year later.”
“We sold the screenplay for 600 grand.”
“Which was just so much more money than either of us had ever considered.”
“We split it.”
“After taxes and agent, lawyer, and all that stuff… we were down under 150 each.”
“The first thing we did was buy brand new Jeep Grand Cherokees.”
“We were renting this place in L.A.”
“It didn’t take long for us to be like…”
“‘Dude, we gotta get another job.’”
@johnelden_ring@RedDragon733 if you don't understand why that sublot was in the show that's on you, because they very clearly were trying to show the different ways the military fucks you up so i actually rly liked it. although i do agree we coulda had a little more punisher
@thecaitsith_ if you can enjoy well hated movies, this person will be fine with two Whole people saying its bad. if you dont want a dogpile delete your tweet im sure they've seen it by now but u won't tell me what i can and can't reply to it
the biggest feat of Brand New Day is that it’s somehow the first Spider-Man movie with a bunch of extra comic-book characters that doesn’t feel either overstuffed or pandering to future movies. it’s just an organic, living, comic book world! I couldn’t believe it!
acting like nolan’s intention is profound and not a superimposition of an iraq war vet sob story upon a greek epic, americans are as thick as a pile of bricks
@aechoire idk they seemed rly happy and good together and they were an older couple too so idk life is complicated sometimes. i usually give it 3 months bc i read somewhere that's when the infatuation wears off
