Planted corn this week. Was pleased to have adequate moisture to plant into despite only receiving around 2” of total precipitation since Nov 1. The soil cover/armor is doing its job. Going to be a tough go for this corn crop though without a change in this dry weather pattern.
It only takes seconds for an adult to become entrapped or engulfed inside of a grain bin. Adding to the risk is a lack of rescue equipment and training available to local fire departments and emergency responders. Nominate your local fire department here: https://t.co/Krc407IxaW

@Kimbrellfarms06 I don't think there is any part of the country safe from this. We keep talking about the average age of a farmer/rancher but there's no legal crop you can grow on these acres to make that payment...not to mention what these values are doing to surrounding property taxes.

I remain VERY concerned about the dangerous wind setup for Wednesday. Severe dirt storm, property damage, power outages, & wildfire all on the table. Esp, wildfire starts from downed power lines. Wind gust animation from 5am Wed - 5am Thu. #cowx#kswx#okwx#txwx#nmwx#phwx
