Genuinely surprised by some of the positivity on here. I’ve lost 8 days pay for a half-funded pay cut with no plan or discussion towards pay restoration over a series of years.

The cuts to all the extended services is what is failing the children, not striking. You’ve undermined your own point mentioning issues which started during covid, 3 years pre strike 🤔🤔🤔. Duh?
139 teachers sadly lost their lives during the pandemic.
Teaching unions fought to keep teachers and pupils safe.
And now we see what this government thought of those efforts.
Our ballot turnout was 42% higher than the turnout to elect the Prime Minister & 7% higher than the average local govt election turnout.
But the Govt's anti-trade union laws will block teachers from taking action to win fair pay.
