NDNA Scotland joined an ELC Ministerial Roundtable at the Scottish Parliament to raise key issues around sustainability, partnerships and workforce challenges.
The Minister and Councillor praised the sector’s value and welcomed further dialogue.

On my way to @ScotParl today for an ELC ministerial roundtable with the Minister for Children, Young People and the Promise. Delighted to be representing @NdnaScotland members at this high level meeting to discuss serious concerns about the workforce and sustainability.
Human beings need consequences for behaviours, but if you think punishing them into better people with resolve the issue, it's the definition of insanity.
Too many outdated ideas about consequences that do not work anymore. We need to get in line about child development.🧠🌱
Enacting the UNCRC means children have rights to consent, to be consulted, and to complain. But often adult myths about their capacity get in the way.
@JoChamberlain83 and I asked children & young people what they thought of these myths - here is what we learned from them!
