I've officially become a freelancer! If you're an author or publisher (or anyone else) looking for an editor, then I'd be delighted to hear from you. I'm mostly taking on structural editing work right now, but I'm also doing a little copywriting, & polishing submissions packages.

@lottelydia 1st pregnancy: let them weigh me but didn't look at the numbers & asked medical personnel not to tell me my weight. A consultant told me my weight 30 secs after I reminded her not to. 2nd pregnancy: refused to let anyone weigh me. You can absolutely do this. Good decision for me.
@chilternrailway Hi - have ticket for 11.52 from Oxfoed Parkway to London Marylebone tomorrow. App says the train will run, but your tweet above says no service between Oxford and London. Which is right?! Thanks.
@hannahfearn Thank you for adding balance here! I have been in my 'always pregnant or breastfeeding' stage since mid-2020 (currently have an 11-week-old baby so there's some distance to go) but this is a nice way to think about alcohol and I'm looking forward to getting to this place one day.
@LauraPAuthor Ah, this is ideal because it looks like we have very similar taste but I haven't read all of these - thank you for providing this handy reviewing service!
I'm sure I'm not the only woman who recognises the tone of this carefully crafted email
The need to dress up a reasonable and urgent point in layers of self-deprecation, jokes, apologies and non-threatening punctuation (!) so your competency isn't perceived as aggressive
@thatkat@hannahfearn@BensonsForBeds Yes, came here to say this. I had an Emma mattress and I put up with it for nearly two years but I loathed it and had quite bad hip and back pain from it. Replaced with an extra-firm pocket sprung @BensonsForBeds one and it's a trillion times better.
