Today, we were honored to welcome His Majesty King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba (@KingOyoOfficial) and Princess Ruth Nsemere Komuntale to the @reachahand Headquarters. This visit; it's a powerful moment that celebrates a partnership we’ve built since 2017.
As we've consistently argued, culture is not just history, it's the most powerful engine for social change and development.
Today's visit, guided by King Oyo's invaluable patronage, reaffirms our belief that when tradition and modernity align, we can truly empower young people and shape a healthier, more just future for all of Uganda.

A Moment of Momentum, The National E-Mobility Expo 2025 Launch J3025
Under the golden morning sun on July 30th, a 5KM e-Cycling Expo swept through the streets of Naguru, signaling the official launch of Uganda’s National E-Mobility Expo 2025. At the helm of this symbolic ride was the Head of the EU Delegation in Uganda, an emblem of partnership, purpose, and shared vision.
The hum of electric bikes gliding past cheering onlookers was a spectacle and a powerful metaphor: movement rooted in sustainability, driven by collaboration.
From this energetic start, the Expo unfolds as a platform for unity, innovation, and action. With policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and citizens converging, the message is unmistakable, the time for collective action is now. Uganda’s progress in e-mobility is transposing from an aspiration to acceleration.
This Expo is a rallying cry. Every session, every exhibit, and every partnership signed reaffirms a national commitment: to scale up our efforts, bridge infrastructure gaps, grow local manufacturing, and create a resilient value chain for green transport.
The ride was just the beginning. The real journey is building a future where every Ugandan moves forward, electrified, empowered, and embraced by progress.
She’s not just showing up. She’s showing out. COLOR. CONFIDENCE. CONNECTION. ✨
This is more than a festival it’s a movement. 💜 Are you ready to Shine? 🔥Don’t forget to:

This evening, I shared with the @reachahand staff about the importance of work-life balance during our monthly #ReachAndRecharge activity. This is usually held once a month as a way to recharge, have great conversations, learn from each other, have FUN, celebrate each other, and facilitate a sense of belonging for everyone.
This month’s conversation centered on a topic close to all of us: mental health at work. I reminded the team of the importance of self-care and personal hygiene for mental well-being. I emphasized the fact that this is a commitment that you choose to make and consistently do.
I shared simple tips like spending on yourself through things like more oftenly buying clothes and shoes. I believe that such small things have the power to give you a sense of fulfillment that your hard work is enhancing your livelihood.
These simple acts can play a powerful role in strengthening our mental well-being and sustaining the energy that you need to show up every day.
To the entire team at Reach A Hand Uganda, I value your input, your commitment, and the energy you bring as we drive our mission forward. Never forget to take care of yourself because you matter, and I need you at your best. #ReachAndRecharge

We’re honored to have hosted the feedback session for the TFGBV/online violence course, developed in partnership with @cehurduganda and @reachahand🤝. Available in English, French, and Indonesian, the course is open to all and aims to strengthen the global fight against technology-facilitated gender-based violence. The session provided valuable insights from young people, helping us refine the course to be more user-friendly and relevant. Under the #GenGProject supported by @Rutgers_INTL, @SonkeTogether, we are building a powerful resource that empowers individuals worldwide to understand and combat online violence effectively 🌍.
