Our new #WomanOfTheNorth report lays bare the unequal challenges faced by women living in the North of England - who live shorter lives, work more hours for less pay and are more likely to be an unpaid carer than women in other regions of England 1/13 https://t.co/rlVL7aoJGt
I'm delighted to be the recipient of an Open Research Fellowship from @UoMOpenResearch and am excited to get started this month! My project will develop a Data Note guide for qualitative health research datasets. (1/4)
The plan is to use consensus methods with qualitative health research and open research experts to co-develop and agree an appropriate Data Note guide tailored to qualitative health research data.📰
The issue is that existing Data Note templates and their guidelines are developed for quantitative data and are not suitable for qualitative data. They include terms, concepts, and conventions that are not relevant to qualitative research data or qualitative research practices.
#DataNotes are short, peer-reviewed articles that describe how and why a dataset was created. By describing a dataset that is stored in an open repository or public archive, the aim is to increase the visibility and transparency of #OpenData and support the reuse of the data. 2/4
