My heart is heavy with sadness from senseless murders — Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, Iryna Zarutska, and Charlie Kirk — and school shootings last month in Minneapolis and today in Colorado. We are grappling with a series of devastating tragedies, one after another. I urge everyone to spend time with loved ones tonight, hold them close, and then come back tomorrow ready to fight for the soul of this nation. We cannot, we will not give up on America.
It was such an honor to be sworn in again to serve as an Associate Justice on the North Carolina Supreme Court. I will continue to uphold the rule of law and defend the U.S. and state constitutions- without fear or favor.
I’ve defied the odds my whole life - as a first-gen college grad, co-founder of two orgs, now running for Durham City Council.
Being young means I live the fight for jobs, safety, and affordable housing. Let’s shake up the system and build a Durham that moves forward- together!

These agencies have been instructed to halt all external communications, such as publishing scientific reports, updating websites, and issuing health advisories.
The directive was issued suddenly and without prior notice.
Yesterday was the first day of session at the General Assembly and we were in our element. We are excited to be back in 2025 advocating for North Carolina's children.
Attended the Take Care documentary on the childcare crisis tonight. 2 words to describe the documentary, incredible & sobering. We must find solutions to the crisis for families, businesses and for the future of NC’s kids.
