A devoted mother, who gardaí said "disappeared off the face of the Earth", she was later subjected to shameful character attacks by the Irish Independent.

This whole thing stinks to high heaven.

Brutal injuries inflicted in life. Missing for 4 years before authorities looked for her. Character dragged through the mud in newspapers.

Evelyn truly deserved better, as so many women in Ireland did.

She deserves to be remembered.
