Corridor care is now a year-round reality.
Almost 3 in 5 physicians reported delivering care in a temporary space over the summer, according to our latest snapshot survey.
We’re calling on the #NHS and government to:
🔵 protect patients and staff in temporary care environments
🔵 prevent corridor care with better patient flow and timely discharge
🔵 pledge long term investment in social care and public health
🔵 publish data all year round on temporary care environments.

We made history on Saturday. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
For the first time, we marched in London Pride - loud, proud, and committed to a more inclusive future.
Thank you to the #RCPmembers and staff who walked with us, and to everyone who supported us on the day.
‘The new UK government has a huge opportunity to prioritise the health and wellbeing of the British people in everything it does.'
The RCP has written an open letter to @wesstreeting welcoming him as secretary of state @DHSCgovuk .

@health_equals are right to highlight the gap in healthy life expectancy.
Everything from the air we breathe, the food we eat and where we live affects our health. We must see more done to tackle the things that make us ill in the first place.
#MakeHealthEqual
Another example of how some – through no fault of their own – literally cannot make choices which can help them lead healthy lives.
This is why a cross-government strategy to tackle factors that make people ill in the first place is needed.

The overwhelming @BMA_JuniorDocs vote in favour of industrial action is a stark indication of just how strongly they feel that the government must do more to value and invest in the workforce. Our statement: https://t.co/VxKsGYNLkC
Today, on Holocaust Memorial Day, I'm thinking about this little boy, the same age as my kids, proudly showing a flower to another child, outside a gas chamber at Auschwitz, where they were all murdered moments later. It is so important for us all to remember what happened.
