@juouelle @Cukalu @scratch @Minecraft (pt.3) When the child is able to have free access to all devices/tech (which is inevitable), it is likely that they'll lack the ability to regulate their usage independently. I view it the same as having a permit vs. having your license. Structured and guided use is important.

Completely removing a child from devices while other children are exposed to them at their leisure, will only make said devices more desirable. #EdChat #CIED1003

@juouelle @Cukalu I see your point @Cukalu , but I also agree with Justin. We are all a product of the culture we're brought up in, to a degree, and it's difficult to mark one as right and one as wrong. Different times, different distractions. #CIED1003 #EdChat

@DrAAlston This made me laugh, but in the best way possible! Authority figures should be so much more than disciplinary figures, they should be present for all kids on good days, bad days, and every day in between. Running track with them is the perfect example of this. #edchat #CIED1003

@FallonLizGraham This is so important! All too often feedback can become robotic. Specific feedback can be so motivating, so I try to practice it as much as possible. Sometimes I catch myself praising my dog with super specific feedback because I'm just so used to it, hah! #EdChat #CIED1003
