Soooo excited that we’ve got tickets to see @ashofficial play @Gonewildfest in August as a birthday treat for Alfred! He’s your biggest almost-9-year-old fan! It would make his century if you could wish him a happy birthday for next week 🤞 @TimWheeler1977 (and Rick & Mark?🙏)
@VMulvanaTuohy@BernieTuohy@YSTeachingNHS You’ve not done ALL the Wainwrights already have you???!!! 😱
We’ve managed 15 this year, and I am blanching at the thought of ever getting to the top of all 214 of them!!
If you’re being a bully or demonstrating toxic behaviours, and people challenge, it’s not an “ad hominem” attack
We aren’t directing an “attack” at you rather than the issue
You are the issue

@rhcplivearchive@Gsaralli What time does King Princess play? Is she on first?
And any ideas what time the RHCP set ends?
Trying to work out if my son and husband can manage the 3hour drive and still get home in time to be able to function at work the next day!
Excited to dive into this #mechanism evaluation of the RESOLVE trial for chronic low back #pain by @AidanCashin @Pain_NeuRa and team.
Largest mediated effects on pain and disability were back pain beliefs, pain catastrophizing, and pain self-efficacy.

📢Out today in @Lancet: major @msk_health led trial finds #opioids NOT effective for people with acute back and/or neck pain.
This is the largest placebo controlled trial of its kind.

@AsafKlaf @Physio1Sr Could the generation of antidromic signals from the dorsal root of nociceptive afferents be causing neurogenic inflammation in the multifidus muscle at the level of the disc injury? And could the fatty infiltration be due to a combination of disuse atrophy + local inflammation?🤔
@AsafKlaf @Physio1Sr Can we be sure that the inflammatory processes are causative for the disc degeneration & fat infiltration of the MM, and not secondary to the DD? Doesn’t this study just demonstrate a correlation in patients with DD who are undergoing surgical intervention for their condition?
Blaming and shaming doesn't stop people from making mistakes. It stops them from admitting mistakes.
If people can't share their blunders, they can't learn from them—and neither can the rest of us.
The best way to prevent errors is to make it safe for people to discuss them.
@adamdobson123 And by “indicated” I mean the current NICE guidelines on the use of SCS (2009 and 2019) both recommend it’s use for chronic neuropathic pain, and is therefore a part of current clinical practice guidelines https://t.co/rYG71Po59w
@adamdobson123 BUT: quality of studies were once again low, so the overarching message is that ⬆️ high quality placebo controlled trials are needed. The MODULATE-LBP trial is an ongoing double-blind, sham-controlled trial in a parallel group design which shud add greatly 2 the evidence base 👍
@adamdobson123 Altho it isn’t without it’s flaws as discussed in this systematic RV which is the only one I am aware of that specifically looked at placebo-controlled trials of SCS in neuropathic pain, concluding that SCS leads to reduced pain intensity vs placebo https://t.co/b9Csx9O83e
