Congratulations to @UG_Airlines on their historic purchase of 8 @Boeing jets at the @Farnborough_Int airshow! We're proud to support this HUGE milestone, which advances Uganda's ATMS agenda by boosting connectivity, expanding U.S. exports, and supporting 🇺🇸🤝🇺🇬.
Museveni: "I have not heard any body eating computers. Bill Gates, who founded Microsoft, was in London & I saw him eating normal food. Technology should be understood in the right context, because the fundamental needs of man have not changed."
I am deeply disappointed that Presidents from two East African countries failed to sit together to resolve their differences — or even seek arbitration through the East African Community, where they both belong, or through the African Union, whose mandate is to safeguard the interests of African nations. This failure undermines every principle of African unity and yet again strengthens the perception of neocolonialism. It sends the painful message that the United States and other non-African powers remain the ultimate arbiters of African affairs — that African leaders must run to them for validation, guidance, or mediation.
I found it profoundly disheartening to watch Kagame and Félix Tshisekedi sitting next to Donald Trump, smiling for a peace agreement they clearly did not believe in. Their presence there was not out of conviction, nor genuine diplomacy, but to appease a man who barely understands the complexity of the Congo conflict. How have we deteriorated to a point where African heads of state feel compelled to stage political theatre in Washington instead of demonstrating leadership in their own region?
What is even more tragic is the absence of respected African elders — the kind of leaders who once commanded authority, wisdom, and moral weight. We once had figures like Kofi Annan and Jakaya Kikwete who invested time in understanding conflicts before mediating them. They centered African solutions to African problems. Today, that tradition appears to be vanishing before our eyes.
The final insult is that while the two presidents were busy embarrassing themselves abroad, the armed groups they each covertly support were entering day three of active fighting in Eastern DRC. Lives were being lost, hostilities deepened, and the region descended further into chaos — all while their supposed “leaders” posed for photographs thousands of miles away.
How did we really get this low?
Yesterday, I had a meaningful session with the sub-candidates of the great school that shaped me and many other great men on these streets (@PaulKagame@KagutaMuseveni ). It’s becoming harder to keep our teens focused and grounded—but the old adage still holds: it takes a village to raise a child. We all have a role to play if we’re to guide them through today’s storms and shape tomorrow’s leaders. Thank you @Ntare_School for the invite!
Today 19th Sept 2025, Hannington Musinguzi (Chief Guest) talking to the S3 students about learning from past mistakes, making better students & making a resolve to build a brighter future while in School. Supported by other Old Boys; Goodman Eric, Bruce Mugela & the counsellors

@SpireJim@KagutaMuseveni You asked the wrong question Prof. Whereas there’s a general consent that civilians should only be tried in civil courts, the biggest concern that is clearly outlined in the President’s com is on civilians who illegally attain firearms for criminality purposes.
@SimonKaggwaNjal@Sudhirntv What is illegal with a son of a General or even your civilian son carrying a pistol if he holds a license to do so? Don’t rush into conclusions without details Simon.
On the next episode of #NLLEchoes, we bring to you voices from the @ntare_league Council of Elders. We hosted @JobKing16 and Hannington Musinguzi Kafooko of @Official_NSOBA.
