and we are allowed to be upset and disappointed about that. I believe they can learn the right lessons from this, I know them to be smart and kind, but it’s killing me that they’re not addressing it. been an army for almost a decade, not stepping out but stepping back for now.

being an ally is not some theoretical or abstract thing, but a series of choices. you can talk abt loving and supporting everyone regardless of gender, but when push comes to shove, the choices speak for you. when someone chooses personal satisfaction over allyship, that hurts.
