@Peter_Ingersoll I was wondering the same thing on my end. I'm barely on here anymore for that reason (among others). It's not just less relevant or interesting, it's often disturbing.
@wpebuilders Yes. I feel like a major sticking point is the term "Reusable" instead of something clearer like "Global" (Patters are *reusable*, but the reusable blocks enable site-wide, *global* edits).
Waaaaaaay back (2006?), the WordPress site used to offer custom 'buttons' for site owners to use. One of my graphics was in that repository for years and I still come across it every now & then. Happy 20 years, @WordPress#WP20
hey @USPS - you should offer *virtual PO boxes*. They'd work just like the mail forwarding you already have in place, but would offer a bit of privacy for all the #WFH small businesses, indie makers, and artists that want to use the postal service for their shipping #virtualpobox
@hellosammunoz When I started the only resource was the documentation - which was pretty extraordinary. It may not have covered everything you needed to know to use WP, but it came with working examples (and multiple variations of the examples) that made it possible to understand how WP worked
@jessicahische I'm a bit surprised that there isn't a third option of "expand my own workshop/storefront plan to include a coffee shop" (for, you know, laser-cut jewelry while you sip)
@richtabor I voted before really considering how subtle "blue-ish" can be and was thinking in terms of a workspace (vs. a theme or admin UI), but I'd still argue that at a theme level, an alternative mode shouldn't be hue-opinionated.
@hellosammunoz Yes — as much as ever.
WordPress's ability to grow, adapt, and expand has been incredible over its lifespan.
One example: just look at the path of Gutenberg from concept ➡️ loathed plugin ➡️ core integration ➡️ open standard getting adopted & leveraged by other systems.
Grateful to be part of #BuildModeLive and the #WordPress community.
Many THANKS to @bgardner and @hellosammunoz for their on-going efforts, community leadership, and all that they do.
Brian's photo of our call: representing an aggregate of 200+ years of WP experience 😮
Grateful for our #BuildModeLive community and the "Thanksgiving" call we had today. Here's a fun pic to share that showcases 200+ years of #WordPress tenure—such a blessing to be a part of this. 🫶
@bgardner Thank YOU for all you do. Really loving the way that #BuildModeLive deepens & enriches our community. Also: "200+ years" of #WordPress experience in one call. Awesome.
@Savphill@Joey_Farruggio@AlexStandiford I don't normally like to oversimplify things, but this image I've seen from time to time continually rings true regarding price points & client relationships.
