i've built an appearance mod feature for @driceroland's Search. It allows you to upload .json files to modify Search's appearance.

the first appearance mod i've built is "curve-tabs", a feature from my scrapped browser project, Curve.

please note: this isn't an official release or update, so currently, you will not be able to transfer any data from using Search prior.

new, each off until you turn it on
→ spaces, with their own logins, optional
→ a sidebar that hides with ⌘ + S
→ middle-click closes a tab

Opus 5.5 designing LEGO 👀

I asked it to design a Microduck I can build with real LEGO pieces. It:

> designed it life-size using 1113 real LEGO parts
> verified: 3,204 connections, 0 collisions, every step buildable, centre of mass inside the feet 🤯
> made a 141-page LEGO-style booklet (237 steps)
> priced every piece in the browser and prepared the orders on BrickLink

@rahulmfg @thsottiaux well since the banked reset tuesday i'm on 50% weekly usage left lol, when my usage runs out i just think of it as me taking a creative break to step back and try to think how i can make my projects better / what new project i want to work on

@kirtandopamine looks cool, i was in the middle of building my browser when everyone released lighter and smoother options, so i just added appearance mods onto Search

@anwarlemu_ @driceroland Agreed! I’m working on an appearance mods fork for Search.

The whole point of OSS is crediting the creator(s)! They put hard work into making software they won’t earn money from, so the least we can do is give credit where it’s due.

i'm now getting the curved tabs transferred over to Search, and am planning to release as a Search mod instead of an app.

along with this, i'll be trying to add a sidebar folders & workspaces plugin to Search, but I have to make sure everything is possible first :)

I've decided Curve is going to be built on @driceroland's Search.

Curve just hit ~80GB of system memory, but until the rebuild, background tabs sleep earlier under memory pressure.
