@SmallerFishGAA Was 25 bedding in, 26 the year of the 2 pointer, 27 the year of the long kick pass??? Has any team gotten their head around being able to effectively use the 3 up rule yet? Short passing in soccer is not overly skillful either but it's part of the game, to keep posession.

@movementcoachkm Meant to follow up with a 2nd tweet but got side tracked...the biggest threat to hurling right now is "Hurling People", who at any opportunity will throw in a "Greatest Game in the World" quip, which just invites critique and scrutiny, and an anti cult revolt from the bystanders.

@movementcoachkm Views - 100% correct on the application of the rules, steps, throwing and tackling (spare arm) being the big 3. Look at clips pre-Limericks rise and they were far better games. Defenders could actually anticipate a forwards play. That's impossible now.

@RonanDonagh @Richardherity @KarolDillon8 If what ROH is referencing is the Player Development Programme then it's anything but elitist. Open to all, it's U13 level, emphasis on skills and games, not in anyway linked to a County squad. Just turn up, learn, play, no scores, no results, no pressure, all healthy.

@tonyleen @LadiesFootball @GalwayLgfa Anyone critisising the game clearly wasn't there. A cagey, tight game with both teams over playing in attack but very good in defence. It was actually quite exciting throughout, a bit of a dog fight, lots if mistakes, but that's finals for you. No different to last week.

@peterswellman I wonder if enforcing the rules would help, being a man mountain is less of an advantage when you have to time your tackle in the ball and not just swing a loose arm across a fellas chest ot waist. Would that give emerging fast players from weaker counties a chance to compete???

@colmnally I's say not much from those clips, not much variation in arm position when shooting across the body or to the open side.

@offtheball 100% correct! The game has been ruined by tackle! The skill of timing a tackle when a player takes 4 steps is gone. Just swipe across him with the stick or the spare arm and don't worry about the ball.

@buff_egan Both Clare players are counting the steps waiting for him to have to release the ball onto the hurley but it never comes. Both would have timed their tackles perfectly if the ball was released every 4 steps.
