@davepl1968 Did you actually... look at the math?
You didn't. You just *want* it to be true.
The higher the rating, the greater the ratio between the number of male and female players.
If it was just a scaled normal distribution, the ratio would be constant.
@MCRReiners The most devastating aspect of demographic replacement is that it's insidious.

@vagaja_boris Proslava ni gledala samo v preteklost, ampak je pokukala tudi v prihodnost.
Zaključne besede so bile:
»Slovenija je domovina vseh nas, ki jo lahko bogatimo v svoji različnosti.
In da, prostora v njej je dovolj za vse.«

@n00rdung@h666ris Explicitly? Was encouraging immigration of colonial subjects to the mainland Britain really ever explicitly a part of the rationale for the British Nationality Act 1948?
The classic conundrum with fuzzy borders between categories.
It typically has two resolutions: either a border is drawn resulting in glaring arbitrariness around the border, or the categories are deemed meaningless and completely dropped.
It's akin to other divisive questions e.g. when does a "clump of cells" become a human? When does a human become an adult? In both cases we draw an arbitrary line where it "feels" right - for practical reasons. But although there is a continuous progression from a "clump of cells" to an adult human, no one would argue the categories are meaningless.
If I'm selecting random groups of people, going from British Isles towards India, I will at some point start getting groups which I could not at all place phenotypically - and thus probably genotypically - within the geographic confines of Europe. Surely the "border" then exist and lies somewhere in between.
Because if not, then "European" category is deemed meaningless in every sense. If "genetic Europeaness" does not exist, then "cultural Europeanness" and "geographic Europeanness" can be shown to be similarly "arbitrary" as well. What is left? And onwards to other categories...
@armsq17 This is true also for Haiti, Congo, Morocco, etc. All born in Western Europe. It's as if their ethnic belonging takes precedence to the location at which they were born. Or is that what they mean with neocolonialism...?
@armsq17 I meant "not born in the country they represent". Is the wording unclear or do you mean the legal status of Curacao?
Anyway, it's hilarious to me that the teams with most "foreign-born" players are also ethnically most homogeneous...
@ns123abc Life in jail for all who demand that we give tools the same consideration as humans. Their misguided moral views will result in our enslavement.
@AlejandroZarUrd@davidbessis The goal *must* be to create value for humans. It's not about "deciding", this is *critical*.
We created these machines to be our tools. Nothing more.
Achieving superhuman intelligence is an *instrumental* goal. The *terminal* goal is humanity thriving.
