Sometimes I think some doctors don’t even understand what they themselves are saying.
They’ll tell you to your face that diet has nothing to do with thyroid health, then for example blame your fatigue, depression or brain fog (symptoms of hypothyroidism) on low B12 or iron and tell you to eat more eggs, liver pate or fortified foods (don’t eat fortified foods btw)
They’ll say food cannot meaningfully change your hormones, then warn you that calcium, iron and coffee can alter the absorption of your thyroid medication.
They’ll look at an anorexic girl who is vitamin and mineral deficient because *checks notes* she hasn’t been eating properly and diagnose mineral and vitamin deficiencies. What do you think caused them? Multivitamin pill or surgery-deficiency?
They’ll say sugar is empty calories, then treat hypoglycemia as a medical emergency.
They’ll tell you cholesterol is poison, then admit that cholesterol is the raw material your body uses to make hormones
They’ll advise women over 50 and men over 70 to have more calcium in their diet per standard medical guidelines.
Does food only matter to them when it’s already a worrying deficiency? Or it only matters when some official guidelines state something they don’t fully understand themselves? I don’t get it.
What exactly do they think food is?
Vitamins and minerals are not some numbers on a nutrition label.
Magnesium stabilises ATP, the molecule that powers cellular work. Copper is required by cytochrome c oxidase, the mitochondrial enzyme that allows you to use oxygen efficiently. Calcium participates in mitochondrial respiration, muscle contraction, nerve function and parathyroid regulation. Sodium and potassium help govern cellular hydration, electrical activity and circulation. B vitamins enable carbohydrate metabolism and energy production.
Protein supplies amino acids for enzymes, connective tissue and protective liver proteins, as well as precursors used in neurotransmitter synthesis.
Even the type of protein you eat will play a role: diets made of mostly tryptophan-rich muscle meats favour serotonin and cortisol production and can suppress thyroid function but gelatinous proteins, rich in glycine and proline and virtually free of tryptophan, balance that amino-acid profile and provide anti-inflammatory, protective anti-stress and pro-thyroid effects.
Sugar fuels the brain, supports glucose oxidation, spares protein and helps restrain the stress response. Cholesterol, vitamin A and thyroid hormone participate in the production of protective steroid hormones. Even the type of fat you eat alters mitochondrial structure, respiratory efficiency and susceptibility to oxidative damage.
Unstable fats for example directly interfere with the production, transport, and absorption into tissues of the *uhh, checks notes* thyroid hormone.
Even something as simple as a daily raw carrot or the non-fermentable fiber/fibre in thoroughly cooked mushrooms can change the hormonal environment by accelerating intestinal transit, preventing the reabsorption of estrogen excreted in the bile and reducing the production and absorption of bacterial endotoxin.
Endotoxin stimulates intestinal serotonin, inflammation and stress hormones, estrogen and serotonin interfere with mitochondrial respiration and thyroid function……So yes, food can alter your estrogen-serotonin-progesterone balance, your cellular response to thyroid hormone and your entire metabolic state!
What are you even saying when you claim diet has nothing to do with thyroid health?
Saying food is just calories is completely illiterate. No doctor saying that should practice medicine. Food is chemistry, electricity, structure, hormones, respiration and energy. What raw materials your body is getting and how it uses them will very much impact your hormonal state and thyroid function.
Telling people that diet doesn’t matter for thyroid health or doesn’t matter in general is illiteracy. You’re illiterate.
A new documentary called American Doctor, showing what US doctors witnessed in Gaza, featuring Drs. Thaer Ahmad, and Mark Perlmutter, will be in theaters in August.
@LawrenceDeLamon@RealCandaceO All you tweet about is Candace, you have no followers and you have a blue check mark. Your account looks like it was made specifically to hate on Candace, “Lawrence.”
Egypt's head coach Hossam Hassan said indifference to Palestine suffering means lost humanity: "If I cannot feel this as a human being, then there is no point in me living."
@AndrewKolvet Can we just take a moment to understand how it must feel for the people who were involved in cks assassination to be watching Candace uncover everything. I’m shocked Andrew isn’t hiding right now. How much longer can this go on?
@WatcherGuru “UNTIL” 2030? They can just plan the CBDC for the next few years and roll it out in 2030/2031. Just another deceptive tactic and BS headline.
🚨THE SUN IS NOT CAUSING CANCER — It’s literally giving life to every living thing on Earth!
Dr. Stephanie Rimka: “The Sun Isn’t Causing Cancer — It’s WHAT YOU’RE DOING UNDER IT.”
Slathering toxic sunscreen full of carcinogens?
Poisoning your body with mRNA injections?
Eating seed oils, sugar & processed garbage that destroys your mitochondria?
That’s the real cancer fuel.
Cancer is a METABOLIC DISEASE, not genetic. The sun is being scapegoated while Big Pharma and Big Food profit from your fear.
Ditch the poison. Get in the sun. Heal your metabolism.
The sun isn’t the enemy — the lies are.
