@supergeekmike Capaldi yes. Liked his run much better when I watched it again. Whitaker weirdly I liked *less* on rewatch, having liked at least S1 originally. 3 eps into Gatwa S2 and I just couldnโt any longer. (I *loved* Gatwa as The Doctor and liked a good bit of S1 in spite of things.)
"Universities are especially valuable in this project: they offer AI companies legitimacy, scale and access to future workers, and can be presented as proof that AI is not merely speculative but an essential part of public life. The problem is that they are now treated as a cog in machinery built to generate profits for Big Tech, while students and graduates are made to feel like pawns in the quest for AIโs financial viability."

Do *not* know how I missed the City Hall gig he mentions, but seen Martin a couple of times at the Cluny and heโs *terrific*. Absolutely, positively if you have any interest in Prefab Sprout in any way donโt miss a chance to see him.
@NorthEastTweets True story: ๐บ๐ธ friend transiting through Heathrow.
Immigration officer: What's your final destination?
Friend: Newcastle.
IO: Why would you want to go there?
F: I'm visiting a friend who lives there.
IO: Can't they just visit *you* wherever you live?
@Super70sSports I *think* the salesperson is Katie Layman -- the luggage salesperson in Say Anything who John Mahoney tries to pick up before his credit card is denied.
@NCL_Guide@NorthumbriaUni Still remember taking an afternoon off to go see Attack of the Clones there (and to go to Chiquito's - was great not to have to go to the Metrocentre if you wanted bad tex-mex food).
@TrilbeeReviews Itโs an interesting question to think about where exactly it all went wrong, but certainly the accident of Peter Capaldi having been in the show earlier being seized upon to facilitate lazy and bad casting decisions has to be in there somewhere.
@lawrencepatihis "We have, as a society, reframed all business leadership...to be the equivalent of a mall cop, a person that exists to make sure people are working without having any real accountability for the work themselves, or to even understand the work itself." https://t.co/eAZLt0vviR
One 'senior manager' is now VC @NorthumbriaUni - cutting the pay of staff who stay in TPS, offering rounds of 'voluntary' severance, and buying and doing up property like nobody's business. Our Chancellor may be TV's lovely @MrGeorgeClarke, but even he'd have a job fixing this.
Wait, so Nottingham paid millions to this consultancy for a failed IT rollout, after already wasting tens of millions on another failed student system, while wasting tens of millions to renovate a corporate campus site it couldn't integrate?! Then blamed 'external factors'!?
A vanity project turned into a money pit at Nottingham University

Those at the top? CBEs, not consequences. Those who didn't understand "listed building" status have moved upward
