Sonam Wangchuk ends his fast after 26 days upon getting assurance from the government and members of parliament of all political parties that the issue of accountability in the failing examination system will be discussed on the floors of the Indian Parliament. The government also gave assurance that families of suicide victims in the recent NEET examination paper leak will be given adequate compensation and that there will be no cases registered against the peacefully protesting students and youths.

There are around 1-2L MBBS seats in our country.
Around 50k MD seats.
Around 50-60% of which are clinical.
So, around 25k/year.
Around 30% of all doctors work in govt. So 17.5k would be in private.
Most won’t earn in crores.
Even at a 30% earning that amount - it’s 5k doctors.

So when a NEET UG aspirants thinks clearing NEET UG means earning in crores - it means - out of 20L aspirants - 5k of you will earn in crores when you reach 45 years of age.

NEET PG 2026 quietly dropped 20 questions.
200 → 180
800 marks → 720
Sounds minor. It isn't.
Same ~2 lakh aspirants. 80 fewer marks to spread them across. Everybody gets squeezed onto a shorter ladder.

Meaning: far more people sitting on the exact same score (compare to 2025)

Past the first 1000 ranks, a single mark can now hold a thousand-plus students.
So here's what nobody is saying loudly:
Your score won't decide your rank this year. Your tie-breaker will.
And the swing is savage.
Correct = +4. Wrong = −1. That's a 5-mark gap on ONE bubble.

One panic guess can throw you behind a few thousand people.

Tie-breaker order for 2026:
1. Fewest negatives overall
2. Fewest negatives in Section A
3. Then B, C, D, E
4. MBBS aggregate %
5. Older candidate

Read #2 again.
Section A accuracy is now a ranking weapon, not just a section.

So stop hunting 5 risky extra attempts.
Start guarding your negatives like your rank depends on it. Because now it literally does.
