Surely we'll never see a better pair of #WomensFACup semi-finals back-to-back on the same afternoon like that ever again?! Great drama at both games... And it should be a terrific final, too.
you’d think someone who works in media like shebahn would know basic media studies such as representation. repeatedly framing athletes a certain way can shape public perception.
now let’s think about why a thumbnail like this may be harmful in the grand scheme of things
@shebahn Baffles me we still are having to explain to people who work in the public eye what micro-aggressions are and how they shape discriminatory perceptions of black athletes. Language matters, media matters, colour matters. Intention is intentional. Educate yourself.
After years of hard work building up an organisation that promotes nothing but inclusivity and making a positive change - @instagram and @Meta have decided to permanently delete our account without any explanation.
This is heartbreaking for our volunteers who have worked so hard to build our brand up. Please could we make some noise on this and try and get our page back? 🙏
Thank you.
Just a reminder that while over 70,000 watched two top WSL teams at Wembley yesterday in the FA Cup final, a decision is expected to be made on Blackburn Women’s future today. It’s not rosy everywhere in the pyramid. Women’s football still needs investment.
It's a bit mad that Lauren Hemp didn't play a WSL game between 8th November and 27th April and she has still finished the season with the highest number of assists in the WSL this term. #BarclaysWSL#ManCity#Lionesses
Just utterly heartbreaking! "The F.A. For All", their tagline, should mean exactly that. Why do we always have to start from the point of exclusion? Sport has so much power to break down barriers and tackle social issues. Everyone should have access to the enjoyment playing sport and football brings, particularly at a grassroots level, no matter their identity.
