It seems the only people capable of protesting in Russia today are Chinese workers. Perhaps when the Chinese start electing the president of Russia, something will finally change?

On August 9, more than 1,000 Chinese workers at the Baltic Chemical Complex construction site near Ust-Luga in Russia’s Leningrad region surrounded Russian police vehicles and prevented officers from detaining a Chinese worker who had gotten into an argument with management over months of unpaid wages. The police backed down.

The project is being carried out with the involvement of China National Chemical Engineering and employs a large number of Chinese workers.

China Labor Watch (CLW) has been monitoring labor conditions in Ust-Luga. Its executive director, Li Qiang, reported earlier that workers at the site faced systematic exploitation in 2025-2026, including wage delays of three to eight months, passport confiscation, and restrictions on movement.

West, by the way, was ready for capitulation after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Putin understood that West was weak. For many years, West had been demoralized.

We saw how West gave up position after position, step by step. That was not Putin’s first attack.

There was Crimea, Georgia. Such attempts were made regularly. Putin didn't cross that line suddenly.

He checked everything, and acted consistently. Putin had a plan. Dictators usually don't hide their plans.

Hitler’s Mein Kampf, written in 1925, was an action plan. You can't say Hitler started doing something no one expected.

Everything had been described beforehand. Everyone simply thought it was written by leader of small nationalist party.

Since 2005, Putin has consistently pursued policy of rebuilding Russian Empire’s influence and changing the world order.

But, all such dictators in history made same mistake: they underestimated free people.

President Zelenskyy:

Last night, Ukraine's Defense Forces carried out a coordinated strike on the Russian naval base in Novorossiysk - the main remaining base of the Black Sea Fleet, located more than 300 km from the front line.

The operation involved Ukrainian "Palianytsia" jet-powered drones, "Neptune" missiles, and maritime unmanned systems. Confirmed hits were recorded on air defense positions, piers, and port infrastructure.

Russians hunted down a vegetable seller in Kherson.
For nearly a minute, a drone chased the man as he tried to escape.
Russians clearly saw whom they were attacking, yet still directed the munition at him.
Yurii miraculously survived. He is now in hospital.

Today, many were shocked by yet another video of the drone “safari” Russians are carrying out against civilians in Kherson. A Russian drone deliberately hunted down a man selling vegetables and detonated right next to him. The Russians even admitted to the crime, showing zero regret and openly boasting about tormenting people. The man was wounded in the blast. Every single day, ordinary people in Kherson face these Russian "safaris."

The world must see this. It must see every piece of evidence that Russia has gone mad and that its soldiers take pleasure in killing and abusing civilians. Without pressure on Russia, the dismantling of its capacity for aggression, and real security guarantees, it is simply impossible to imagine the world being able to coexist with this evil. We must remain resolute in defending life. We must act and support life in ways that force Russia to seriously think about peace rather than expanding the range of its drones.

This is not just about Ukraine. Russia’s campaign against human life must be stopped here in Ukraine before it spreads further. Finland and Kazakhstan, the Baltic states and Poland, the countries of the South Caucasus, Romania, and Moldova—all should work together to ensure real security guarantees and bring Russia’s war to an end. Peace is needed, which requires cooperation among everyone in the world who truly values peace. Thank you to everyone standing with Ukraine!
